Contemporary Classical Works

My music has evolved from many visceral encounters with musical works of art ranging from  jazz, free improvisation, electro-acoustics and contemporary classical works.

Creativity impulses sometimes come to me through observing nature or abstract art with multi dimensional tactile surfaces, lines and proportions of mass and textures waiting to be investigated from many perspectives and be moved through time. I like to explore strange and bittersweet landscapes unfolding with symbolic actors. Sometimes my music comes from my personal experiences or observations of human and political behaviour abstracted into compositional forces. Within the sonic density and complexities of my compositions, I look for artistic clarity and purpose.
